Tammy
C. Hopgood Pratt grew up between Rhode Island with her mother
and Massachusetts with her father. She is a proud graduate of
Lincoln School, in Providence Rhode Island class of '88, where
their irreplaceable sense of values, morals and principles were
instilled and are deeply ingrained. She went on to receive her
bachelor's degree in Hotel, Restaurant and Travel Administration
from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Class of '92. She
was a dedicated and energetic professional with over 30 years
of customer relations, event management, and function sales experience.
She
has three beautiful boys, David 25, Dylan 23, and Tyler 21. As
a single mom, Tammy spent a significant amount of time volunteering
at her children's schools, in their classrooms as well as their
extracurricular activities. She loves being around kids and has
been jotting down notes for children's books for twenty five years.
She recently relocated back to Rhode Island to help care for her
mother full time. While expecting her first grandchild Ashtyn,
she started writing.
Her
goal is to write fun, joyful, educational, and inspirational books
that teach children (and parents) beautiful life lessons. She
wants to get back to the basics of common sense, and the goodness
in humanity and would love to have a positive impact on as many
children as she can reach. Her illustrations are meant to keep
children drawn with wonder while falling in love with reading
and learning.
More
books are coming soon!
